Sugarless Apple Dessert
A really inexpensive and easy wartime recipe that is just as nice today. It only takes a few minutes and is just the job for children to prepare (and eat!) as part of a WWII project.
There are no specific quantities as it all depends on what you have been able to get – There is a war on you know!
Ingredients:
Cooking apples
Condensed milk
Orange juice
Crushed nuts or a little grated chocolate
Method:
Grate raw cooking apple.
Whip together with the condensed milk.
Add a little orange juice.
Arrange in dishes with nuts or grated chocolate on top.
